2010 Summer Exhibition

The New York Academy of Art, Summer Exhibition opened on Tuesday. I hadn’t been to a NYAA opening in ages, so I was happy to see several people I knew, even though most people there were more recent students.

Each year the NYAA churns out more talented artists. Below are some of my favorite paintings from the show.

Shin-Young An, Polishing Toenails, oil on newspaper, 21 x 26 in

Karl Koett, Fruit and Bone, oil on linen, 12 x 16 in

Thad Eaton, Nineteen Fifty Four, oil on canvas, 74 x 39 in
