Assembling the Pieces

ACOPAL Competition

I couldn’t have been more happy when I saw that two of my paintings were finalists in the 2011 ACOPAL competition. Ever since I went to the opening reception for the ACOPAL show in May, I have been inspired by the beautiful work displayed. This years competition is being juried by Peter Trippi, Paul W. McCormack, and David Jon Kassan. Follow this link to view all 50 paintings that made it as finalists.

“Three Grand Prize Winners will be selected to exhibit with ACOPAL’s Members and Honorary Members at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio and the additional opportunity to exhibit at the World Art Museum in Beijing, China in ACOPAL’s Inaugural Exhibition of Contemporary American Realism. Winners will automatically gain acceptance as members in ACOPAL and their work will featured on the ACOPAL website and included in the full color catalog from the Butler Exhibit.”

Hi Teresa, thank you so much for writing, and congratulations on being a grand prize winner in the Acopal competition!! I absolutely love your painting, “Deliverance.” I don’t think the finalists are showing their work at the Butler, but I hope we get to meet at another art event in the future!
