Painting Garden Roses: 3-Day Workshop Online

Three Sessions: July 8, 10, and 12, 2024.

Stephanie Deshpande will lead a 3-session Zoom class focused on capturing the ephemeral beauty of roses using oil colors. Through her guidance, participants will develop the skills to portray these delicate flowers, with an emphasis on the interplay of light and shadow. Techniques such as blocking in the composition directly on the canvas, measuring landmarks, and massing in large value areas will be covered. Comparative measurement, values, edges, and color relationships will be explained. The final session will explore glazing techniques to enhance depth and luminosity in their paintings.

Participants will receive a digital handbook, access to recorded sessions, and personalized feedback via email. All levels are welcome to join.
