I went through some of my old paintings and drawings tonight, and I found a lot of paintings I had forgotten about. A few years ago, I told my parents to throw out any work I had left at their house. I’m glad they didn’t listen to me. These are quick portraits I did while I was at the New York Academy of Art.

I think it’s good that your parents didn’t throw them out; you never know if they’ll become renowned pieces one day. You seemed to be into profile views back then. The two pieces on the top interest me most. Very nice work.
