RAI: Floral and Still Life Oil Painting

Wednesday Daytime, 10:00am – 1:00pm
Starting February 5, 2025

Led by Stephanie Deshpande, this class will focus on painting floral and still life oil paintings. Participants will explore foundational techniques such as composition, comparative measurement, values, edges, and color relationships. The class will emphasize the interplay of light and shadow, while also addressing techniques like blocking in shapes, capturing texture, and glazing to enhance depth and luminosity. Stephanie’s hybrid painting approach, blending direct and indirect methods, will be demonstrated, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of oil painting. Personalized feedback will be provided to help participants at any skill level.
