Btw, I like the way you did your shadow. I feel the need to give it a complete “background” when I do watercolors – which sometimes ruins the essence of my object. I need to leave some white space. I’ll keep that in mind for my next one.
Thanks. I probably wasn’t as inclined to paint a background since I was only working on this in my sketch book. From looking at some of your work, it looks like you are using watercolors in a very traditional way — which is good. I still tend to paint like I am using oils.
